They banned me for "sandbagging" (which I didn't do) so I'm glad to hear they're not succeeding. If people win cubits however by betting and winning games, it is possible to continue to play on the site way past the original number of games.

If I had lost connection to the server then my opponent and the server were still waiting for my move and they were running my clock down.
They tried a little too hard to monetize the on site currency that you need to spend in order to have a game.
