Mixed bag of emotions on this album - been a fan ever since The Sickness and every album has been incredible. The album's first single, " Are You Ready ", was released before the album in August 2018, while the second single, " A Reason to Fight ", was released a month later. Evolution is not a bad collection by any means, but it certainly fails to grasp the massive potential of Disturbed and their myriad talents; it’s more of a side-step than a true sonic evolution. The tracks that did not click do not take away from my overall enjoyment and appreciation of the ones that do. Remember, this is their 8th album, and they do very few covers, so that is a lot of some writing. They could make and reverse their softer songs to be harder.
