Policies and procedures (half of which are ignored) are ridiculously extensive and management is inconsistent in enforcing them. This also goes for the general managers who are unreasonably rude towards the average employee. Most people working there have very little education or no real-world working experience outside of Menards. Pay was good for a part time position. The only real downside is the pay and benefits are absolutely atrocious. If you ask for help from another employee, management scolds you for using up spare employees. That place will stress you out to the max.

Micromanagement is a horrible issue with Menards which can be demoralizing and frustrating, especially when it gets in the way of the employee doing their job effectively and efficiently. They spy on their competitors & do dirty things to them. You WILL eventually learn enough to install and/or use the products on your own if you so choose. Your trust is our top concern, so companies can't alter or remove reviews. They will have you work ten hours a day everyday including Saturday and Sunday.
