Mmm, although the whole invisible aliens sounds like a cop-out, it really comes out quite interesting. Outside of one great speech of what disaster brings out in people(entirely self-serving in any case), pleas of international cooperation and the unique setting of Moscow, there is really nothing in "The Darkest Hour" that we have not seen before, except for maybe an appreciation for beginner physics. But soon, they learn that the lights are aliens invading Earth and using power supply to annihilate mankind.

How'd you come up with that? I think Netflix subscribers would agree with me when I say that Darkest Hour would make a great addition to Netflix’s collection of films.
