Shown are the Award Winners recognized at the Keep Texas Beautiful Conference this week in Austin. Each local Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate is asked to submit a yearly application to retain affiliation and so a state-level committee may determine award winners.
Keep Irving Beautiful Mission Statement As an award winning affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful , KIB reaches out to and partners with all sectors of our city including government, business, church, cultural, neighborhood, and civic organizations. KTB Awards for Youth/Educators will open March 9, 2020 at 8am and are due April 17, 2020 by 5pm CST. Mesquite, Texas –Keep Texas Beautiful, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), has awarded a second place Governor’s Community Achievement Award to Mesquite for its efforts to keep the community attractive and environmentally conscious. Nominations for the 2020 Keep Texas Beautiful Youth and Educator Awards recognize the efforts made by youth and educators working to improve and beautify their communities.
A maximum of 5 nominations per category is allowed. The 2018 project is curerntly being designed and finalized. WOW!!
Two Bastrop County schools recently received awards from Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) at their annual conference in Austin, Keep Bastrop County Beautiful announced. Keep Texas Beautiful, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), has awarded the GCAA to Texas communities for more than 50 years. This is a well deserved award.
- Beginning with first place GCAA winners in 2020, winners will not be eligible to win GCAA again for the next four years (this was previously three years). In 2007, a beautiful bronze geese sculpture “The Landing” was installed at the corner of Katy Mills Boulevard and Highway 90. Conference details and registration will be provided to the winners when available. This year, the 10 winning communities will share $2 million in landscape funding from TxDOT for one or more landscaping projects along TxDOT roadways. Muenster and Lindsay received a score of 90 or higher, as did Keep Valley View Beautiful (which won a Governor’s Achievement Award in 2006) and Keep Whitesboro Beautiful. The award is one of the most coveted, annual environmental and community improvement honors in Texas.

Gold Status with Keep Texas Beautiful The Gold Star Affiliate is a designation conferred on just 85 of the Keep Texas Beautiful 300 affiliates in 2019. After much deliberation, KTB leadership has decided to streamline the Individual and Organization awards by offering fewer awards categories.
