I don't like the structure for the online learning environment, but I think in light of our current situation it is understandable that it is not as good of an education as traditional class. Online classes are hard to say because they are a fairly new thing for these universities when we are so used to in person classes. My second university and it is great! The platform we use for classes is very user friendly and easy to navigate. However, I feel as though opportunity for scholarship for the school is rather low, and the buildings in some cases are out of date. The culture is poison. I didn't take any courses online, it was not offered at the time that I was going through college. This college is 100% an ally to all minorities.
This school will never be a Harvard or even Michigan and it shows in the actions of the faculty, the students, and the schools reputation.
I'm all for this next year, definitely worth looking into.As for the school, it was fun to party at but its no Michigan Tech University ;).

The best way to describe the teachers is "passionate". Benifits need to be better , company needs to stand behind the coral and values . The overall culture at WMU is poisonous. But I recently started touring other schools and I've now realized below the bar western has become. The professors have plenty of real world experience and they are very successful. Keep K-6 distance learning on track with safe childcare.
I worked at their computer lab on campus and loved every moment. It was rewarding to be a part of the university community with university students. Staff are very supportive and helpful. Undermining from coworkers is common and leadership either doesn’t care or doesn’t know what to do about it. All very pleasing to all students. I personally highly recommend this college for anyone. How are the working hours at Western Michigan University? Western Michigan is an excellent university and goes beyond expectations for their community living. They also have an updated student recreational center with free exercise classes with your student ID. They still have work to do on student support services and helping ensure students graduate within 4 years. While Kalamazoo benefits from having a university in the city, this school is not the best.I took classes there after graduating from Michigan State and I was not pleased with the administration or many of the professors.The financial aid officer workers are horrible - I can't think of a time when I was ever treated worse. I loved living on campus, working at the cafe, meeting new friends and experience all that Western had to offer back in 1998. Loved the business college. Some of my best friends have come from working at this university. There are many options here from fun board games groups to running and casual and competitive sports.
I’m studying music and their program is phenomenal. Overall it is a good place to work, there are many benefits to work there, one being you can take classes for free, you pay for the books and lab fees. WMU has updated a ton of their academic buildings to ensure they are up to date with the best equipment and technology. I go back often, check it out! A fantastic school. Rate your employer. Overall it is ok and I would say it is very manageable too. The university is trying to do better with the university to make up I believe, for the inflations. The dorms are not the best, the rooms are small and tend to get too hot and the food at the cafeteria is not very good depending on where you go. Western supplies their students with a ton of resources for every step of their college career.
Stand bebind the mission statement. Free over time worked is often required, no opportunities for professional development, culture is critical and unprofessional, work in poor conditions, nothing to look forward to, no breaks, low pay, bad culture, poor management, This place is worth working for as a graduate assistant. I've noticed it has gone up every year. They recently built a new cafeteria, have built new dorms, and are building more dorms with student centers that include games and study areas. Do not be afraid of the bosses as they are all friendly and genuinely care about you as an individual. WMU is always renovating and making the campus more appealing. The campus is the perfect size. Understandable because prices go up over the years normally. There is a very generous leave structure for sick leave and vacation leave. Oh Western how much money have you taken from me, yet here I am. Organic has such a high fail rate it's been suggested...by Wmu staffers...that I take it at the neighboring community college just to be able to pass it, at a cheaper rate no less.
